I've been trying to make beaded flowers to dress up my new beaded clutch (which is still under construction 😊). I fell in love with all the stunning triangle flower patterns that can be seen on Contemporary Geometric Beadwork blog. I wanted the petals to have a rounded edge and this is what I ended up with. I've been busy with other "things" with not much time left to bead but also not much of an inspiration lately! So it's taking me a while but I'm have finally started on a beaded bag 😊 I'm planing to add some 3-D flowers to the front but I'll see when both sides are done 😊
After trying a few different clasps I decided on the open square within an open square. I like that the clasp also twists a bit to mimic the warped squares that my new necklace is made of. Anyway I hope that you like it 😊 inspired by Contemporary Geometric Beadwork with Kate Mckinnon
While thinking about a design for a new necklace, I've been playing with colours and patterns, From the samples I made a few new bangles in my favourite colours. There's a new one that I call a modern tribal and some Scottish tartan thrown in for a good measure, as well as two with a geometric pattern. Hope you like 😊
Just realised that I haven't posted any photos of my zigzag bracelet which is all finished. I considered a few different clasps but decided to extend it's length and attached 4 snap fasteners. This way the zigzag pattern is uninterrupted but you can still see the overlap. Anyway I love wearing it 😊
Ever since I saw Ina Hascher latest geometric rings which can be seen here http://knoopje-ina.blogspot.co.uk/2017/09/contemporary-geometric-beadwork-rings.html, I've been itching to make some of my own. And my inspiration came from my latest manicure. Hope you like and I'm off to make some more 😊 inspired by Contemporary Geometric Beadwork
It seems that I have been a fan of Twin Peaks for ever and am really enjoying season 3. The black and white floor and the red velvet curtains have always caused a shiver to run down my back but the floor pattern is so great that I just had to use it in a bracelet. Below is my new bracelet which I call "Homage to Twin Peaks". Hope you like and it will be for sale in both my online and Etsy shops.
I had to rework the deasign and found that it's best to create both earrings at the same time! Unless you take notes which I always forget to do while designing 😞 but at last my earrings are finished 😊
Just got an email to advise me that my blog is now in the Top 50 Handmade Jewelery Blogs! How exciting ?
